 Several Ways Effective School Librarians Support HISD Students

Explore below the skills, goals and impacts of effective libraries as you consider how you want to move forward in your support of effective school libraries that work towards equity of access for all HISD students. Choose your own adventure, as it were, in behalf of HISD students. Remember that students in schools without effective libraries and collections CANNOT choose THEIR own adventures because they don’t have any books or guidance to choose them. It’s a sad comment - Students need Libraries in HISD is working to convince HISD leadership that every HISD student deserves a fully funded school library with a certified school librarian.
